CCNP Switch 300-115 - My Experiences

Hey guys, just passed my 300-115 paper today, Passed 988/1000.

Here is my tips and guide to you:

– Galvin is valid, all the questions from there came out, including labs.
– HSRP hotspots - just follow those two in Galvin's pdf
- copy run start or write memory does not work, it says auto-saved. Guess it was not a problem at all.
– read carefully as answers positions are changed for most of the questions
– EIGRP lab (easy), AAA lab (medium, still easy), LACP/STP lab (confusing to me, i will explain why).
- LACP/STP lab > this is relatively easy, but problem happens when you configure the port-channel.
- It does not allow encapsulation dot1q, when i issued 'show interfaces trunk', it shows port already
in dot1q. Kinda weird, and suddenly the port-channel when down, verified LACP mode at both end.
also, i found 'switchport trunk native vlan -1' in the port-channel and its members. I am pretty much sure the sim was  corrupted. I could have scored 1000/1000, if not for this shitty sim. Anyway, don't panic, just follow the configuration, check vtp status and correct it in switchB, spanning tree priority in SwitchA, and port-channel modes in both switch. If port-channel is down and you find it not accepting 'switch port trunk encapsulation dot1q', just continue, as i have checked with many, and most of them encountered this. Guess its a bug.
